This year the CMP BC/Yukon Branch is once again offering scholarships to undergraduate students.
To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate student in a minerals industry related post-secondary education program in British Columbia or Yukon, with a mineral processing component (e.g. at University of British Columbia, University of Victoria, British Columbia Institute of Technology, Coast Mountain College, Yukon College).
Successful students must demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in mineral processing following completion of their program. This can be demonstrated by related work experience, either prior to or during student’s program, course electives if available, and overall academic achievement, with a particular focus on excellence in mineral processing related courses.
– Cover letter explaining why you want to become a mineral processor.
– Résumé & Completed application form (please use the electronic format available online)
– Letter of recommendation from a mineral processing professor or work experience supervisor
– Scan of official copy of academic transcript, showing at least one year of academic results and / or course content for their current year. (Original document should be posted, if requested)
