By November 7, 2022 No Comments

The 2022 conference and AGM of the BC/Yukon Branch of the Canadian Mineral Processors is back in-person this year. Registration is now open. You can register at this link.

We are very excited about being able to hold a conference in 2022. It was just not the same virtually. This year, we will feature a keynote presentation from Jackie Przybylowski from BMO as well as a number of presentations from
the industry.

Registration for this year’s meeting will be $300 for early registration and $350 for late registration. Student registration is as follows: Early $40 and late $60 via the Eventbrite link. If you are unable to register on Eventbrite, please contact Katherine Ray at katherine.ray@lynum.com.

The conference is being held at The Sutton Place at 845 Burrard with the Wednesday night reception being held at the Butcher and Bullock at 915 Pender St. from 17:00 to close and will be following Covid guidelines as set out by the BC Government at that time. We hope you can join us! Don’t forget to bring a toy(s) for the Toy Drive if you are attending the reception for the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. We do have rates at The Sutton Place and a link will be provided as soon as possible in order for you to make a reservation.

If you are interested in sponsoring this year’s event and the initiatives of the BC/Yukon Branch in general, please contact Chris Burke chris.burke@duboischemicals.com. Sponsorship helps subsidize the cost of the event and more importantly this year allows us to provide scholarships and donations to organizations that the CMP supports such as Food Banks, Britannia Mine, and Minerals Ed. Due to the wildfires and flooding, we provided funds to food banks throughout the effected region in BC including Princeton, Merritt, and Kamloops We also committed to assisting Indigenous Societies such as IRSSS. We would like to give out even more this year and that will depend on your support. Typical sponsorship amounts range from $500-$5,000, but any contribution is greatly appreciated. Sponsorship can be by credit card during the registration process or by cheque directly. Sponsors will have their logo displayed at the event, and LinkedIn.

If you need further information about the meeting, reception or sponsoring, please feel free to contact Katherine directly at katherine.ray@lynum.com. We look forward to seeing you in November/December! It has been quite a time over the last couple of years.

Note: both CIM South and North Central sold out this year so you may want register early!
