PowerPoint File Transfer Information for Authors
PowerPoint File Transfer Information for Authors
We strongly urge authors using PowerPoint for their presentations to use the conference computer, rather than their own computer. You should only use your own computer if your presentation requires special software (e.g. animations).
You are urged to keep the Powerpoint file size as small as possible. Click here for tips on reducing your file size.
Note: IF SENDING IN YOUR FILE BEFOREHAND, IT MUST BE RECEIVED BY US NO LATER THAN JANUARY 15, 2010 .
Please use the 'Upload File' button to transfer your PowerPoint file to the CMP. This will take you to an external website called "YouSendIt.com". You do not need to register to use the file transfer service. If your file does not transfer right away, please keep trying until it does. The smaller your file is, the better the service works.
COPY & PASTE THE FOLLOWING EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE 'TO:' FIELD

PLEASE ENTER YOUR NAME AND PAPER NUMBER (see the Technical Program) IN THE MESSAGE BOX - SO WE KNOW WHO THE FILE IS FROM.
Note: Make sure you enter your email address in the box where it is asked for so that you will receive an email confirmation that your file has been successfully uploaded to our server.
If you are unable to transfer your file using the button above, you may use one of the following alternative methods to transfer your file to the CMP:
- If your file is less than 10 megabytes in size, send an e-mail message to me at John.Chaulk@nrcan.gc.ca. with the PowerPoint file included as an attachment. In the body of the message, please include:
Author's name
Paper number (see the Technical Program)
File name
Your email address
Telephone number
OR - If your file is 10 megabytes or larger, burn the file onto a CD-R compact disc and send it by courier to:
John Chaulk
Canadian Mineral Processors
555 Booth Street
Ottawa, ON, Canada
K1A 0G1
Be sure to include the Author's name, paper number, telephone number and email address.
Please ensure that the CD is readable in most CD drives.
It is advisable to bring a backup CD with you when you travel to Ottawa.
Note: You are encouraged to keep the file size to less than 20 megabytes by reducing the size of large graphics by using PowerPoint's photo compression feature.
If you have any questions, please contact John Chaulk at john.chaulk@nrcan.gc.ca.
